Before processing, every batch of raw apricot kernels undergoes mycotoxin and amygdalin testing. Once accepted, kernels are fumigated in a CO₂ chamber to prevent insect or moth infestation.
Half kernels and broken pieces are removed using Sortex technology and visual controls to ensure a uniform appearance. The greatest challenge is removing hard shells, which closely resemble the kernels in color and shape. To address this, we use laser sorting, x-ray machines, and careful manual inspection, guaranteeing a safe, shell-free product.
The result is a clean, consistent, and high-quality organic apricot kernel ready for use in a wide range of food applications.
